Fresh Holds

While preparing for Documenta 13, I found this lecture given by Michael Taussig. I have encountered his work through researching Walter Benjamin's dialectical image and digital entropy in Mimesis and Alterity.

More research to come:
Magic Hour
Pre-Copernican Universe ----> relationships with Matriarchy
Tracy Moffat's "Night Cries"

Went to see Staging Silence in DC on Thursday, at the Hirshhorn. This was the first thing we viewed, and after beholding such beautiful light, miniaturization, and delicacy it was easy to imagine the Washington Monument as a tiny plastic model on the horizon of an elaborate set.

If you haven't seen Hans Op De Beeck's work, try to make it to the Hirshhorn to see his film in the Blackbox.
